Bimini Location:
Bimini is one of the islands of the Bahamas, and is actually two small islands, North Bimini and South Bimini, which are separated by a narrow channel. Only 9 miles long and 1 mile wide, this tiny island has earned a great name for itself as the "Game Fishing Capital of the World". Fishing on Bimini:
Fishing is an integral part of life on Bimini, which maintains its own Hall of Fame.  You can book a fishing captain to help you make your catch.  Many of the local restaurants will gladly cook up the fish you've caught.

Bimini Life:
Although Bimini is the Bahaman island closest to the U.S., it has an atmosphere all its own. Life on Bimini moves at a relaxed pace. There is no need to hurry, so you can take a break from the hectic speed of life and adopt the laid-back Bimini attitude while you’re here.

Main Town:
Alice Town, located on North Bimini, is the center of activity for the island.  Local shops, hotels, restaurants and pubs can be found along Kingshighway, the main road through town.

Getting To Bimini:
Bimini is accessible by boat or plane.  Bimini is just a 25 minute plane ride from Florida, and there are several charter airlines that make frequent  trips to the island from either Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

Customs:
Although Bimini is very close and convenient to Florida, it is still part of the Bahamas, and you will have to go through customs.  Remember to bring your passport, or birth certificate with picture ID.  You will also need to present your return ticket home in order to enter the island.
